Trio!
Humans of Bombay is an inspiring team who strive everyday to make a difference to the world, however small. They bring us stories of ordinary people leading an everyday life with their own struggles and smiles. They teach us to see the light in our mundane routine that we often ignore in the rapidness of life. Above all, they give us hope.
I have been following them, admiring their work and contributing in the charity. Today's post is inspired from one such story of HB where three brothers share a light moment. Their simplicity struck me hard. This is a poem for all the dada-dadis, nana-nanis who are grateful to have someone at the sunset of the their journey.
Every morning on the same bench,
With same coffee and biscuits to munch,
we sit together as tight buddies,
not a care in the world for stories!
"We're brothers and we're all above 70",
they say, what a shame people worry,
"We are the most unproductive people",
only trying to make our stringent life-bends supple.
Losing wives, we have a rule never to talk about,
seriousness is our rare trait to flaunt,
the trio is used for laughs, jokes on one another,
happily gossiping our ways to lighten each other.
Like the Sun we rise everyday,
without a phone we arrive at break of the day.
We are family to rely on,
now lost count for how long.
Love more, Love Deep,
Prerana
