You and me
You broke me,
I was hateful of you.
You plucked me,
and I was scared of you.
You opened doors for the unknown,
ushered me to corridors docked,
passages I have not known,
and I followed you with heart locked.
You sparkled horizons at my feet,
as I begged you to let me sleep.
Sprinkled seasons in my lap sweet,
for, I longed to dig myself deep.
Every time, you push me harder,
when I am reluctant to be pushed.
All the time, you love me more,
when I only want to love you less.
Walking the long highway together,
we are not strangers, nor friends.
An inevitable stigma sticking on my leather,
you fearlessly meet me at ever changing corners.
Now, we have learnt to laugh at each other,
every time we meet, I am a flawed person,
You are my Mistakes, like no other,
every time we meet, I am a better person.
Do not fear to fail,
Prerana
