13-03-2019 - why not?
If you follow Virat Kohli on Instagram, you will see his wish for Women's day. He wishes not on 8th of March, but rather on a different day and asks, why is not everyday a Women's Day?
Why is it not, indeed? Do we really need a day to respect women and show them the care and affection? Or to men for that matter!
As humans, we all have our want to be respected, cared for and loved. And, please! let's not waste time arguing who is more ignorant and how any gender is any superior. We need each other. So, let's just be more empathetic to one another, everyday. Our hormones run deep into emotions and we certainly need support. A person saying I can handle all alone will have a regretful heart on his death-bed. Even Christopher McCandless, a young lad who wanders the wild of Alaska escaping his people and world, wrote this while he was dying, for, he had confused a poisonous weed for a berry :
"Happiness is only real when shared"
Let's not take out a day from calendar to decide the other gender should be respected. Let's make it a habit and practice it everyday. Men and Women - both - equally must be shown the deserving respect.
Everyday is a human day,
Prerana
