Stop Labelling!
How often do we find people putting labels on others or rather, how many times have we spoken about someone else like this - ‘She is just a dancer’, ‘the guy with horrible clothes’, ‘you mean the fat girl over there?she is called fatty’, ‘is that him with female-like voice?’. Has it ever occurred to you that people can be more than what they appear and dress. We are all differently abled with our own strengths and areas to work upon. The guy whose voice you were making fun of might have extraordinary oratory skills, the fat girl over there can have a genuinely sweet heart, the dancer can also be interested in mountaineering, may be with those clothes he is wearing, he might be shooting for a photographer. We have to realise that what others choose to show to us might not be their entire personality. Plus, who are we to label them anyway? We have our own set of flaws. The whole point is, try looking at the bigger picture. Rather than calling people by funny names or making jokes, remember them for what they are good at. How broad their fields of interests are.
Buddha once said “I am not what you think Iam. You are what you think I am.”
Something to ponder upon.
