Ubiquitous

When we step out of our house, office or any building in India, there is one person who always greets us. Always. We simply cannot resist his existence. Often times we go to him to relieve our headache or just to have a break from work. With friends, he is the destination of a long ride. On winter nights, we crave for what he has to offer. He is our tea vendor or as we all lovingly call him, Chaiwala.
Chai and Indians are as much together as Mumbai local train and its garmi. One is incomplete without the other! An integral part of daily ritual to becoming an multi-millionaire company, chai has seen it all. Chaiwala, tooplays an equally important role on every road of life. From  deserted pathways to frozen lake shores, sometimes in the tunnel or on top of it, inside office or outside of our jogging park, one can see the hot steams from a thela from a distance. In addition, one good option is never enough. With ginger, without it, with lemon, with both of them, some refreshing tea or few relaxing ones, tea has a game of its own to allure us into drinking the delicious beverage. In fact, I think, Chai is one thing we all Indians are happily together in, special shout out to our mitra, Prime Minister Mr. Modi.
Bottom line- in India, for majority, tea is a synonym for love. Are you in love with an Indian? Learn to prepare tea!

P.S.- I don’t know to to prepare one.

Kudos to all chaiwalas,
Prerana
