Dharwad, again.
This post is directly from my diary dated 27-02-2018. It’s when I went back to my college because I was missing it real bad. Dharwad is so special and shall always remain so.
I came back to this same place for my college. Everyday I marvelled at what this lesser-known paradise had to offer. After four years, when I graduated and was moving to another city for a job, I couldn’t help but leave behind a piece of me.
After three years, I have come back, may be to search what I missed, only to discover new love for the land. This city has taught me so much to help me grow as a person. Some great friends, whole new experience of hostel, harsh life lessons, my first love and ever-cherished college days. My hostel walls have seen me evolve as an individual and now, I come back here a better person. Walking through the same old corridors I’ve crossed a hundred times make way for a thousand, beautiful memories. When I think of it, I never really thanked it for all those times I have had here.
Today, as I sit at Kelageri lake watching the waters twinkle in late evening hues of sunset and the star-lit city beyond, where I spent some of the most favourite moments of my life, I thank you, Dharwad, for everything you have done for me. I thank you for letting me live all those moments. It’s only because of your pure love that I have the urge to keep coming back to you. And, whenever I have, you have lovingly opened your arms to pamper me. I love you.“
Kalgeri is one of favourite places in the world.
