An old letter

Pratiksha, one of my best friends from school, had written me a letter on my birthday many years ago. When I was looking for a book today, the letter fell from the stack. Upon reading, it brought back so many memories. I had even forgotten some of the stuff mentioned in the letter. It felt wonderful to relive all the innocent days again.
I always encourage people to write letters, actual pen and paper. Letters, in my view, gives one a sense of being remembered and valued, especially in the current age of digital systems, where a human connection is rare. Letters, like many other, are symbol of appreciation. It’s even a private thing. It’s very important for me to remind people I love that I love them and celebrate them. Letters are my way of showing them what they mean to me.
Friends, you are all really lovely and may mean your word when you are talking to your friend, family, fiancé, beloved. Try writing a small note written in ink for those people. It can be just two words or twenty lines. Your call. You can paste on their birthday gift or paste it over refrigerator at home or just something you scribble in their notebook. Make sure you write. Many of them will treasure it. Some will have a genuine smile reading it. I write to people whenever I can, including to my waiter.Whoever has ever had a meal with me in a restaurant  would know I always write a ‘Thank you’ note on a tissue after eating and leave it on the table with a paperweight. Gestures like these go a long way.

Write to them. Tell them.
